Solution
1.
A solution is a homogeneous mixture of two or more components.
2. It is an example of true solution.
3. In solution form each component is mixed in such a way that these
components cannot be identified easily.
4. The solution particles cannot be seen with naked eye.
5. The solution particles can pass through a filter paper during
filtration
6. The solution particles do not settle down at the bottom of the
container, if allowed to stand even for a long time.
7. Salt in water is an example of a solution.
Suspension (Turbidity)
1. A suspension is a heterogeneous mixture of undissolved particles in
a given medium.
2. It is not an example of a true solution.
3. In suspension particles are not well mixed and can be identified easily.
4. The suspension, the solute particles are large and can be seen with
naked aye.
5. The suspension particles cannot pass through a filter paper during
filtration.
6. The solute particles in suspension are large and heavier, so they
can settle down at the bottom of the container, if allowed to stand for some
time.
7. Mud in water is an example of a suspension.
